Hello,

Tylenol ( Paracetamol) overdose is a medical emergency and he should attend the emergency if the number of tablets taken is unknown and have a gastric lavage to remove it. The minimum lethal dose is about 7.5 grams.
The first symptoms of overdose usually begin several hours after ingestion, with nausea, vomiting, sweating, and pain as acute liver failure starts. People who take overdoses of paracetamol do not fall asleep or lose consciousness . The process of dying from an overdose usually takes three to five days.
Tylenol PM in addition contains Diphenhydramine which is a sedating and will add to the toxicity of the paracetamol.
Hope he is well.
