Hi, as you have rightly pointed out that irregular schedules and stressful work hours must have lead to increase hair fall. Now take care to eat proper high protein diet at regular intervals. Have a relaxed mind. Do regular excercises and deep breathing too.
You can take Caps Evion 400mg once a day for 3 months. Rubbing the nails of your hand thrice aday for 5 minutes each has also shown very good results.
Good luck

Hi, Welcome to HealthcareMagic Forum.

I would like to know few things here so that I can suggest you better:

1.) Since how long are you having this Problem?
2.) Have you gained or lost weight recently?

As you said your Hair loss could be due to stress, but it is one of the cause as there are various causes to it. It could be due to:

1.) Hormonal Imbalance
2.) Nutritional deficiencies
3.) Thyroid problem

All these causative factors have to be ruled out. Kindly get yourself examined by a Dermatologist so that he/she can examine you and rule out the exact cause. Your Doctor will do a Physical examination and do a blood work up to rule out the exact cause.

Bring in some lifestyle changes:

1.) eat healthy protein rich diet which should include Eggs, chicken, fish, milk, green leafy veggies
2.) Avoid stress
3.) Exercise regularly and maintain a healthy weight.
4.) Drink plenty of water.
5.) Avoid smoking and alcoholism
6.) Practice relaxation techniques like yoga and meditation.
7.) Stick to your treatment plan and go for regular follow up

Wish you Good Health.

Welcome to HealthcareMagic forum,

In females the most common cause of hair loss is –iron deficiency, hormonal imbalance, thyroid problem, stress, lack of sleep, familial ,or use of chemical on scalp ,procedures like perming or straightening etc. Other rare causes are zn & copper def. One has to find the exact cause of hair loss and treat. In females there are various patterns of hair loss, which can be judged clinically by a dermatologist.

In your case it seems to be the stressful job and odd working hours.

In any case you should get your hormonal level also checked along with an ultra sound if necessary to rule out PCOD.In such cases we also see weight gain along with irregular periods, acne and facial hair.So please check out for these also.Get a T3 ,T4,TSH also done to rule out any thyroid cause.

Other simple test which we do are hair pull test and trichogram to diagnose which type of hair loss is there.

After proper diagnosis you can start with topical preparations like Minoxidil 2%-5% applied twice daily on scalp along with tab biotin one daily.Zinc and copper are also very help full.Other hormonal medicines are also available if needed. These medicines need to be continued for long ,so kindly consult a dermatologist for proper prescription. We also have lasers for hair gain and mesotherapy injection for those needed.

Improve your diet with green leafy veg, fresh fruits, plenty of water, sprouts ,pulses, high protein diet, avoid items with high sugar content like sweets & chocolates, less of Chinese foods, less of pizza & burgers ,more of milk & ghee, dry fruits . Good sleep also has a important role to play .You can check out my website for other details

Take care,

Dr.Bharat Chawda
