Weight Gain, Swollen Throat, Feels Exhausted. On 50 Mg Of Pristiq, Helped Depression A Little. Any Better Alternative ?

I am on 50 mg of Pristiq, I have gained some weight, my throat feels swollen, I am exhausted most of the time, but it does seem to have helped my depression a little, just do not know if the little it helps is worth the side effects. I also have fibromyagia and back pain, am wondering if there is something else that would be more effective without the side effects.

Desvenlafaxine is a good drug for anxiety and panic disorders, agoraphobia and depression.Ruling out thyroid disorders will help.Adequate therapy for the fibromyalgia will be required. You may need the help of a psychiatrist who can examine you and take a detailed history before guiding you /counselling and changing or titrating your drugs.
