Weakness In Arms, Shakiness. Reason?

Hello Doctor
My age is 25 and my weight is 54kg. Sometimes I feel weakness like when I hold something heavy I feel shivering in my hands and arms. But I can do work consistently without any major problem. I take 3 meals in a day and no medications, although I take multi vitamins tablet everyday with milk. Kindly tell me the reason and remedy.

Thanks

Infectious Diseases Specialist 's  Response
Hi,
Welcome to HCM.
This could be due neurological weakness. I suggest a detailed neurological examination to rule out any nerve weakness.
Have a healthy diet with increased protein and calcium rich foods.
If non vegetarian, include red meat (beef, mutton) and eggs in your diet.
If vegetarian include more dal, cereals, soya nuggets in your diet.
Milk and milk products are rich in calcium and should be included in your diet regime.
I also suggest few strengthening exercises for your arms and legs. Any good gym instructor can help you with these.

Thanks
