Weak Legs, Cramps In Feet And Thigh After Drinking Red And Pink Wine. Side Effects Of Wine?

I usually drink a few beers a week and never have a problem. I started drinking red and pink wine 4 days ago. The last 2 days I have had weak legs and cramps starting in my feet and thigh. Is it the wine? I have red sulfites may do this to some people. I am waiting for it to subside and have decided to stick to beer from now on.

Hello.
Thanks for writing to us.
The cramps in the legs and feet can be related to intake of wine. It causes diuresis leading to an electrolyte imbalance causing the leg cramps. Taking oral fluids will help.
I hope this information has been both informative and helpful for you.
