Ayurveda Specialist 's  Response
there is number of herbs which acts on endocrine glands and for growth of Dhatus [ here bones and Muscles] , so doubtlessly medicines work to increase height
but as the ossification of ends of long bones occurs , no medicines can increase the height

Hello Saleem,
The bones stop growing vertically after 16 years for girls and 18 years for boys. Thereafter the growth plates, which are located at either ends of the bones fuse. Hence no medications, to my Allopathic knowledge can activate growth after this age. You can lengthen upto 12-15 cms of your lower limbs in a single sitting by a Limb Reconstruction System,LRS by an Orthopaedician. However, it has its own disadvantages and would let you know if you are interested in doing so.

Dear Saleem
There are some herbs that stimulate growth but all this is before ossification of growing points has taken final shape. At this age of yours it is difficult to predict on this topic, yoga and determination may bring marginal change.

Hi!
Sorry to say that at the age of 29 it is not possible to increase your height. But for the ages below 15 i am using a medicine successfully. You can try it out. Take 35 gm of Aaliv (Lepidium sativum) daily with empty stomach along with milk as much as you can take. For more details contact- dhumal_sujay@rediffmail.com

Hi, welcome to healthcaremagic forum
Truely speaking to increase height is not possible as the ends of growing bones get totally fused at this age.So try to be happy with present ht.
Improving the positive aspects of your personality and special skills will minimise this feeling about height.
Take care

Ayurveda Specialist Dr. Munish Sood's  Response
1.The ossification of epiphyseal ends of the long bones end by the time the individual attains the age of 20 to 21.So,the chances are 50-50 %
2.Exercise will not INCREASE your HEIGHT because bones can't be exercised and this is where your HEIGHT comes from.Your bones will continue to grow up until about age 25 but could stop sooner. You will grow as tall as you are gonna be by then .Just be healthy!!
.Your bones need phosphorus, calcium, and magnesium while your muscles need water, protein and carbohydrates to grow. Since you are growing taller, both your muscles and bones are getting bigger and longer.

Hello !
Dear I certainly would like to help but my dear the information required to select a remedy is not provided by you, as you have mentioned that you are married from this i assume you are above 21 years of age , dear by this age the bones in our body have already been fused so there is no chance of gaining height but you can use various methods to look tall , and for other health related problems I would strongly insist you to find a good homoeopath around you and take his services , or you can mail me with all your symptoms,
You can depend on Homoeopathy

Dear Saleem, Welcome!
I am very sorry to state that at this age increase in height is NOT possible, whatever may be claims of ayurveda or of other doctors. This is because at maturity, bony fusion occurs at growth plate & increase in height stops. Still you may use high heel shoes.
Good luck.
NB. Please dont waste your valuable money on spurious medicines.

General & Family Physician Dr. Nilanj Dave's  Response
Hi,
Welcome to healthcaremagic forum,
mohammad as you have mentioned that you are married, i can tell you that your bone growth must have stopped growing vertically. yes they can get mass horizontally but that will not help you to gain height. so frankly speaking forget about this idea of increase your height and get this 'short height" complex out of your mind. be confident in whatever you are and you will not require this kind of advise anymore.
yes but one thing i can suggest you that you are overweight for your height(70 kg for 5'2 height). so better get rid of your extra kgs and make yourself healthy and fit.
hope it will help you.

Homeopath Dr. Swati Ramkumar's  Response

Hello Mohammad,
The Epiphysis (growing ends of the bones) fuse by the age of 18-20 yrs in case of boys. Increase in height does not happen after this age. Since you are 29 yrs, it is not possible for any further increase in height. Instead reducing your weight by a few kgs would be somewhat beneficial in making you not look obese. As per your height the ideal body weight should be around 55-60 kgs. Exercises like walking, cycling, swimming and eating a balanced diet would help in reducing your weight. Please do not waste your precious time and money trying out the products available in the market for height gain or weight loss as they are not known to be beneficial. Instead improving your self confidence and accepting yourself as you are, would help in coping with this problem.
