Wat Causes Intense Pain In The Heels Of The Foot After Using Pointed Footwear?

I attended a wedding on April 16, 2016. After the ceremony and we mingled for about 45 minutes for tables to be set up to eat. I stood on my feet during that time in one particular spot in fairly new mid heeled pumps. On Sunday night my right foot was in tremendous throbbing pain. I went to the doctor on April 22 and the doctor said I stood too long (in the new shoe) and blood was not circulating as it should and gave me some anti inflammatory-ibuprofen. I could barely walk because of the pain. It is just now getting to where I can put a little pressure on it and stop walking on the side of my right foot. Could standing all that time in the shoe cause this to happen (most pain at the joint/ball by big toe). Also am TYPE 2 diabetes & taking meds for that.

Hi,
Welcome To Healthcare Magic.

I had gone through your query and understand it.

As you are saying that you are a diabetic, then you must take extra care of feet. Because, feet care in diabetes is very important. So, avoid wearing of high heels and I strongly recommend for consultation of surgeon as early as possible along with your latest FBS, PPBS reports.

Till that time, I recommend you to go for Tablet-Dolo-650 (if no allergy), 3 times in a day at the interval of 7-8 hours for 2 to 3 days with Wokadine ointment (5%) (if no allergy) for local application on the affected area for 2 to 3 days.

I hope this information will resolve your query and further questions are also welcome.

Wish you good health.
Take Care, Thank You.
