Hi Sarah,
Thanks for the query.
Does the shooting pain through your legs start from the buttocks to the back of the thighs to the legs to the feet OR is it just from your legs to the feet.Any history of diabetes/hypertension?Any history of numbness , tingling sensation, or decreased movement of legs or feet? From your history, one possibility is Sciatica(irritation of the nerve root in the lower spine) which requires you to get your lower back examined. Another possibility ,could be arterial insufficiency due to peripheral vascular disease or atherosclerosis causing intermittent claudication pain i.e Pain which gets worse on walking and relieved by rest.Yet another possibility is venous claudication due to varicose veins or deep vein thrombosis. Please visit your physician at the earliest.
Get well soon. Have a nice day :)
