Want to reduce weight. Need advice on diet

Hi every body, I am hamsa, Single. 32 Years old and 5.3 and weight 78. Now i seriously want to reduce my weight. So kindly advice me how can i do. i am a vegetarian. Please advice me the diet . I want to join gym. Is it possible to reduce and how much i have to reduce. I am taking 1 to 2 cup coffee in the morning and Ragi Ball and Sambar @ 9 AM. in the after noon i take vegetables and Fruits ( i take Banana also) in the night i drink 1 Large cup Butter milk. So my kind request is Please help me to reduce and guide me. Thanking you, Hamsa

Hi Hamsa,
Thanks for posting the query.
Its always easy and possible to reduce weight. To start with, you need to concentrate on your eating pattern, time and type of food.

Include more of fiber ( raw salads, fruits, raw and green vegetables etc) and protein ( low fat paneer, soyabean, mushroom etc.) in your diet, in place of simple carbohydrates like, potato, sugar etc. Avoid saturated fats like pure ghee, cream, butter etc. and limit the in take of unsaturated fats like cookinh oils to 5-6 tsp. per day.

Fix timings of the meals and stick to them, a six meal pattern with smaller meals is advisable. Drink plenty of water and fluids like lemon water ( with out sugar), tender coconut water and fresh soups etc.

An activity schedule will further help you in achieving the desired goal of loosing approx. 15 to 17 Kg. of weight.
