Vomiting, Watery Stool

Hi My son is 31/2 yrs He has vomitted in the evening but the morning food from breakfast came out in vomit undigested. He had passed watery stool twice today. Please suggest what to do and what to give him to eat.

Hi there.

Thanks for writing in.

Your son might be having a case of viral gastroenteritis which normally subsides in 24-48 hours.
Give him rice gruel, tender coconut water, ORS. Probiotics like lactobacillus will be helpful. Maintain good hydration.

If symptoms persist or he has lethargy ,drowsiness, or decreased urine output, do visit the doctor immediately.
