Viral Sore Throat , Getting Worse, Coughing Up Blood, Along With Lump In Throat, Pain. What It Might Be?

I went to the doctor early this morning and they said it was just a viral sore throat and not strep , that it should get better within 2-3 days however it has only gotten worse because now I am also coughing up blood, along with a lump in my throat and pain in my throat and ears whenever I swallow. Any idea of what this might be? I am also very very tired and have been sleeping all day but now I have to go work a 3.5 hour shift in about 2 hours.

Hi,
By seeing the nature and severity of your lesion, there might be having bacterial infection as well.
Go for one antibiotic medicine course.
Take decongestant medicine as well.
Do warm water gargles.
Avoid cold drinks and junk food.
Ok and take care.
