Viral fever with cold. Can I give him sweet lime juice?

HELLO DOCTOR,IAM FROM WEST BEENGAL.MY CHILD IS SUFFERING FROM VIRAL FEVER .THIS IS THE THIRD DAY.HE IS HAVING COLD (RUNNING NOSE )ALSO .IS IT ADVISABLE TO GIVE JUICES LIKE SWEET LIME,POMEGRANATE,LIME ETC? AND CAN HE BE GIVEN BOILED POTATO /EGGS? PLS SUGGEST ME. 9 9

You can give the above said food items in your mail, the only precaution you have to take is that don't give child juice, water or cold drinks, also avoid oily, fried food and banana.
With the diet so other precaution you have to take to get quick relief are: take daily steam 3-4 times a day, protect you child for cold wind and changing climate, Take some anti-allergic and antipyretics like paracetamol for fever. If fever not resolve in 3 days than consult your doctor and have a course antibiotic.
