Venoustasis In Left Leg, Right Foot Swelling, Given Furosemide. Increased Dosage, No Help. Suggestions ?

I am a patient with venoustasis in my LEFT LEG ONLY. On July 30, 2013 I had a biopsy on my RIGHT LEG, which came back negative. On August 28, my Right foot began to swell. On September 3, 2013 I went to my dermatologist. He advised the site was fine and has healed as it should there were no bites, break in skin. I then went to my family physician the same day for which I was given Furosemide 20 mg to be taken once daily as needed, when the swelling didn't go down I increased dose to twice a day. I have remained off foot and have kept it elevated. To that end, the foot is still swollen. Went to see family physician again today (Sept 9, 2013) and was advised to stop taking Furosemide. The problem is with the right foot not left. What do you suggest?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi, the problem appears to be due to the deep vein thrombosis, hypovitaminosisB, or filarial infection, I advise you to consult a vascular surgeon for diagnosis and treatment.
I to my patient with such symptoms prescribe di ethyl carbamazine citrate, prtiolytics, and anti inflamatories, and frusemide.
Thank you.
