Hello and welcome to HCM,
Visualization of cervix with a camera is called colposcopy.
Any abnormal looking area is identified in the cervix.
The abnormal looking area is removed with an instrument, this procedure is called biopsy.
Taking the biopsy may cause discomfort and bleeding, however, these symptoms are temporary only.
Thus, you can get physical examination before undertaking this procedure.

Thanks and take care
