Vaginal Bleeding, Pain Under Belly, Weakness. Taking ECP. Is This A Side Effect?

Wife is having vaginal bleeding for 3 days after taking ECP which she took one hour after the intercourse which caused her so much pain under her belly & weakness in walking. She had her last period bleeding 8 day before having intercourse. My question is that is this bleeding a side effect or is it normal? How to cure it & get recovered from the condition .june 26 she have period but now she have early bleeding and pain. when she would have her next period?

Hello,

Bleeding is due to withdrawal effect of the ECP. It is quite common and natural phenomena.

This type of bleeding will stop automatically within 3-5 days. No treatment is required for this.

But next period will be delayed for 1-2 weeks from due date due to hormonal imbalance and mental stress. She needs to undergo one home pregnancy test if period is delayed more than 1 week.

Take healthy diet, avoid stress, maintain genital hygiene and practice safe sex in future. Good luck.
