Using Neti Pot For Nasal Drainage. Chest Tightness And Cough. Need Steroid Shot For Immediate Cure?

I've been dealing with nasal drainage this week. I've been using a humidifier and Netty pot. Not I have major tightening in the chest. I have a slight shallow cough that feels like my chest is going to cave in when I do cough. I do not have any mucus though. I'm leaving to go on business tomorrow. Should I ask the doctor for a steroid shot?
