Hello...I am asking these questions for my sister who lives in another state and does not have access to a computer. She has COPD (I think 4 years) and uses the Flovent and Pro AIr. She is on a fixed income and does not drive. These medications are VERY expensive and she needs to take them monthly. (around $150.00 per month) Are there any generic drugs that she could substitute that would work the same and be less expensive....or are there any other drugs that would work as well as the two she has been prescribed. She only sees a regular Dr. not a pulmonologist. I personally think she should be seeing a specialist. It s very difficult for me to try and advice her when she lives so far away. I also understand it s very difficult for you to advise us when I am not the patient. Even if we can just get medicine she can afford would be a huge help. I ve helped in the past, but my circumstances will not allow me to continue. She also has tried many government agencies to try and get some assistance with the financial end of this.
