Used Tiger Balm On Forehead, Skin Burnt. Is Moment Cream Mix With Melacare Useful To Remove Burn Marks?

Hie, i used tiger balm on forehead and my skin burnt, but the effect of burning came after a month. Docter advised me to use moment cream mix with melacare at night.. and another cream emolene to use in morning and noon. Is dat useful to remove burn marks?? Please help.

Hi. Thanks for asking on HCM

Seems you are referring to Hyperpigmentation that developed after application of tiger balm. Tiger balm is irritant and it can cause hyperpigmentation on the applied site.

In such cases of hyperpigmentation after irritant dermatitis, i usually ask my patients to apply a moderately potent steroid cream twice daily on the affected area for 2-3 weeks.

i usually add an oral Vit C supplement.

Protection from sun and use of a broad spectrum sunscreen throughout the day will prevent it from further darkening.
