good day dr. can you pls interprete my son urine analysis he is 4 yrs old...color: pale yellow transparency: clear,specific gravity :1.015,pH:6,protein: negative,glucose:negative,WBC: 0-1/HPF,RBC:1-3/HPF,epithelial cells: rare,casys: none seen,crystal: none seen,bacteria: rare,mucous threads: none seen...i highly appreciate it hope you can interprete...thank you so much

Hi there,
Thank you for writing to us.
The only abnormal thing that I see is microscopic blood or a few red blood cells.
I also see rare bacteria.
Other than that it appears normal.
If your son continues to have symptoms then I would recommend that you should have a repeat urine test done or a urine culture test done.
I would also recommend that he should have an ultrasound of the abdomen done to have a look at the kidneys and to rule out stones in the kidney and the urinary tract because sometimes microcopic blood in the urine can be as a result of stones in the kidney or in the urinary tract.
All in all this report does not suggest anything very signifcant or serious and just on the basis of this report I cannot pinpoint any diagnosis or anything serious.
