My mother s urine culture report is as follows: Report on culture and sensitivity profile nature of specimen : urine Organism Isolated : E.Coli isolated Colony Count : 50,000 Colonies per ml. sample Sensitive to: (In order of zone of inhibition) AMIKACIN (++++) NITROFURANTION (++++) AZITHROMYCIN (++++) CEFTRIAXONE (++++) CHLORAMPHENICOL (+++) NORFLOXACIN (+++) STREPTOMYCIN (+++) PEFLOXACIN (+++) AMPICILLIN (++) CEFOTAXIM (++) KANAMYCIN (++) MOXIFLOXACIN (++) OFLOXACIN (++) GENTAMYCIN (+) Resistance to : AMOXYCILLIN CEPHALEXIN CLOXACILLIN ROXITHROMYCIN SEPTRAN GATIFLOXACIN SPARFLOXACIN CEFAZOLIN CIPROFLOXACIN ERYHTROMYCIN NALIDIXIC ACID CEFUROXIME LEVOFLOXACIN LOMOFLOXACIN My mother has been on homeopathy medication for last 3 months but previous report taken on 25 feb 2012 and now, both are same (in terms of colonies count per ml sample) except in terms of sensitivities and resistance. Although my mother hasn t any noticeable symptoms right now but she does report feeling weak sometimes. So what should we do? Please advice.
