Hello, and welcome to HCM!
Your description suggests that currently your period is about two weeks late. It is certainly possible that you are pregnant. I would recommend that you obtain a pregnancy
test (available "over the counter"), or make an appointment to see your family doctor or gynecologist (who can perform the same test in his/her clinic).
Remember that birth control pills are very effective, but must be taken EVERY DAY to work properly! For many women another option such as an IUD (intrauterine device
) is a better option, because it doesn't require you to remember to take a pill (or do anything else, for that matter) every day. Talk to your doctor about other birth control options that you may find more convenient and effective.
I wish you good health, and thanks for your question!
