Hello, and welcome to HCM!

Your description suggests that currently your period is about two weeks late. It is certainly possible that you are pregnant. I would recommend that you obtain a pregnancy test (available "over the counter"), or make an appointment to see your family doctor or gynecologist (who can perform the same test in his/her clinic).

Remember that birth control pills are very effective, but must be taken EVERY DAY to work properly! For many women another option such as an IUD (intrauterine device) is a better option, because it doesn't require you to remember to take a pill (or do anything else, for that matter) every day. Talk to your doctor about other birth control options that you may find more convenient and effective.

I wish you good health, and thanks for your question!
