Undergone Surgery After Breaking Humerus Bone. Having Swollen Lower Arm And Hand. Suggestions

Hi, I broke my humerus bone 2 weeks ago. I had a surgery after I had broken it. The doctor put in metal bolts to make it fit back into place. Two days ago, I went to the hospital and they removed the hard cast and put on a flexible brace. On the position of 30 locks. I have noticed since then, my lower arm and my hand have been swelling quite a lot. Any Suggestions?
Thanks

Hello.
Thanks for writing to us.
The mild swelling after the fracture of humerus is expected due to a mild venous congestion. In case the swelling is increasing and there is a fever then infection needs to be ruled out after a direct examination.
I hope this information has been both informative and helpful for you.
