Uncle Passed Away. Had Heart Trouble And Swollen Hands. Had Foaming From Mouth. Cause?
My uncle recently passed away and I was curious as to why he would have been foaming from his mouth? He had heart trouble. He had a defibulator also. A few days before he died, some of the family noticed his hands was swollen. The night he passed away, he woke up coughing and could never catch his breath. I was thinking maybe he had CHF.
This is a typical presentation of Acute Pulmonary Oedema (sudden Left Heart Failure).
The usual cause is heart attack or arrhythmia like ventricular fibrillation
Swollen hands may be from vein obstruction, right heart failure and so on
Take care
May his soul rest in peace
