Hello and welcome to healthcaremagic.

Constant pressure due to ill fitting shoes OR mal-alignment of the toes could lead to corns or calluses at pressure points which pain a lot when pressure is applied during walking or standing

If I was your treating doctor I would have asked you to apply a topical keratolytic lotion once daily at night after soaking the feet in lukewarm water.

Keratolytics are formulated from salicylic acid and lactic acid dissolved in an alcohol base. The alcohol evaporates and leaves behind a white adherent residue which is the main active ingredient(salicylic acid+lactic acid).
