Hi, thanks for using healthcare magic
BMI stands for body mass index
and determines if a person's weight is ok for their height. It is calculated by dividing the weight in kilograms by the height in m (the height is squared) .A BMI of less 18 indicates a person is underweight
and over 25 is overweight
Based on your height of 5 ft 2 and weight of 120, your BMI is 21.9 kg/m2 which means that your weight is good for your height. At a weight of 110, your BMI would be 20.5 which is inching towards underweight.
You have loss alot of weight (25 pnds) which is excellent because weight loss
is difficult to acheive. After a person loses weight, they go into the plateau stage where their body resists further weight loss. This is due to a number of compensatory mechanisms that take place in the body to resist further loss. These measures work to reduce energy loss and increase energy input.
As far as your body is concerned , at present it does not wish to lose any more weight.
Your weight is good for your height and the activity that you are engaged in will prevent weight regain which is important.
I hope this helps
