Next only comes medication.
Medical treatment mainly to decrease the inflammatory response and control the flare ups.
There are plenty of medications available for treating inflammatory bowel disease.
Initially aminosalicylates, which are aspirin-like anti-inflammatory drugs such as
sulfasalazine would be tried.At the time of flare ups you may need
corticosteroids to reduce inflammation shortly.
At times you may need anti diarrheal agents, antispasmodics, and acid suppressants for symptom relief.
