Nephrologist 's  Response
Hi
Thanks for your query.
Bilateral renal parenchymal disease suggests kidney disease.
This could be seen if your mother has long standing diabetes or hypertension.
The appropriate tests to do would be urine analysis and microscopy and serum creatinine.
Further investigations and treatment will be as per the results obtained.
A nephrologist would be appropriate person to consult
Good luck
