Ultrasound Of Uterus Done. Findings Show Missed Abortion. Cause?

im sapna' my last LMp date was 1.06.2013. on the basis of my ultrasond report says my uterus is gravid measure 10.48*4.8cm. single sacis seen in uterus. foetal pole is identified . no cardic pulsation are observed in it.
sonologically findings are suggestive of missed abortionb (growth7.5 weeks) .please tell me what are the reasons behind alltis mishapping to me.i have three year old daugher .

Most of the missed abortions occur within first 12 weeks and it's causes include blighted ovum,placental abnormality,maternal illnesses,uterine abnormality,defective sperms and eggs,fetal chromosomal abnormality,torch infection etc
You have to be properly investigated by your doctor to find the exact cause.

I am so sorry to hear about this missed abortion.
It is another form of abortion. The only difference is that it didn't come out of the uterus as a uterine bleed. The causes of abortion include chromosomal abnormalities, infections, others without any clear reasons, etc. The best thing is to contact your OBGYN and get the uterine content evacuated. Smaples should be considered for histopathology studies. Also, you should do a test for TORCH infections to find for possible reasons.

there is a long list of causes which can result in missed abortion a few being cromosomal abnormality, infections like torch group of infections, diabetes, environmental hazards, stress, uncompatible blood group, use of certain drugs, smoking and alcohol intake by mother etc.
Sometimes it is difficult to know the exact cause.
However, important thing is that since it has been diagnosed, consult your gynae and get a D+C done to prevent further complications of hemorrage and infection
