Hello and welcome to HCM,

Pap smear is a test which samples the cells of the cervix.
This test is aimed to look for development of cancer in the cervix.
Cervix is the mouth of the uterus.
In case of any abnormality of the endometrium, abnormal cells may also be sampled from the endometrium.
It is normal to find endometrial cells in the PAP smear for first 12 days of menstrual cycle in a menstruating female.
However, presence of endometrial cells in females above 40 years is alarming and it has to be investigated.
It can be due to endometrial hyperplasia, endometrial polyp, or endometrial cancer.

So, you need to consult your doctor for investigations to find out the cause of appearance of endometrial cells in the PAP smear.

Thanks and take care
