Ultrasound Done. Not On Any Medication. What Does The POD + Indicate?
hello doctor after greetings , i am AAAAAAA age 27 yrs, TTC, my ultrasound result says- 16th day of LMP Left ovary follicles- 19X16 mm & 27.4 X 10.9 mm, ET 9.9 mm , POD + shown in report ? what does this POD + indicate, while the doctor told to go with intercorse as my cycle is 33 days and she says the follicles are well matured to rapture. I am not on any medication .

Your cycle is of 33 days usually ovulation occurs 14 days before onset of menstrual cycle .There is follicle on left side of ovary which may rupture in few days .
POD is pouch of douglas (Rectouterine pouch) .-space between anus and uterus . It is lowest part of peritoneal cavity .During Ovulation some amount of fluid is collected after rupture of follicle which usually gets absorbed with time.So every thing is normal till now.

POD+ means minimal free fluid in space behind your uterus, its is sign to indicate time of follicle rapture. It is normal phenomenon. during ovum maturation.
