UTI, Swollen Genitals, Difficulty In Walking Or Sitting. Is It Due To UTI Or Something Else?
Hi my name is heather im 27 and i went to the doctor because they said i have a uti but i am swollen down there bad its like a big ball it dont hurt when i pee but i can hardly walk or sit down because its that swollen is it part of a uti or something else i did have clap before but me and my bf didnt wait 7 days like they said could this be why too please help and what can i do to get the swelling down
Thanks for your concerns. Indeed, the symptoms of swelling are quite unusual for a UTI and there may be an alternative explanation, such as an allergic reaction (allergic vulvoganitis) or a sexually transmitted disease; the best option would be to see either a family medicine doctor or gynecologist who can perform a through pelvic exam with speculum and determine further recommendations based on appearance/microbiology samples, etc.
Yours truly,
