USG Shows Bulky Uterus, No Yolk Sac Or Fetal Pole, Ovarian Cysts. Pregnant?

Hi, I'm pregnant of 5 weeks & done u/s in this 5th week as per doctor's suggesion & I got report from u/s that uterus is bulky & shows a single well defined gestational sac (MSD 4.0 mms) with regular choriodecidual rim. No definate yolk sac foetal pole or cardiac activity seen. Both overies are bulky with multiple cysts. Small fuild is seen in the pelvis. I'm worries whether I'm pregnant or not, please reply. Doctor suggested to wait for next two weeks to re-check the same.

Hi,
Thanks for the query.

Pregnancy is there and ultrasound confirmed the presence of gestational sac.
But till the fetal pole not developed.
In early gestational age sometimes fetal pole and cardiac activity cannot be detected.
So better to wait for two more weeks as suggested by your doctor.
Usually by 7 weeks trans-abdominal scan can detect fetal pole and cardiac activity. Whereas tran-vaginal scan can detect by 6 completed weeks.
