Typhoid, High Fever, Weakness, Diet ?

Hi my husband is suffering from typhoid. He first suffered from fever last month however he recovered now again after he is suffering from typhoid however the fever is high this time and he is too weak. Please guide me for what meals should he intake and what fruits should he eat? And how we can avoid typhoid fever . -Pallavi Chand Narwal

Dear Pallavi,

I can appreciate your concern. What I surmise from your post is that he must already be on medication and has been investigated and that is why you say that he again has typhoid. I shall appreciate if you discuss with your treating physician regarding the course of treatment.

I would suggest that you complete the full course of antibiotics prescribed by your doctor. He may change the antibiotic if there is no response to the one given earlier.

If your husband is tolerating food and does not have any abdominal pain or distenstion and if he is not passing black stools then he can be put on a normal soft diet.

first give the blood test report of fever another symptoms remain itself then i can suggest diet and preventive medicine for that
