Type 1 diabetes, injection, vial was empty, only air went in, dangerous ?

yes, my daughter has type 1 diabetes and i just now accidently gave her 40 units of air, the vial was empty. i didn t notice till it was too late. what should i do. how dangerous is it ?

Insulin injections are always subcutaneous and do not enter the blood stream. The insulin is injected into a fat mass and is not injected into a vein. So you did her no harm and now she just needs her insulin.
