Hello and welcome to HCM
You have mentioned that you have had abortions over last four years.
There is need to find out the cause of repeated abotions.
The causes of abortion are:
1. Chromosomal or genetic abnormalities of the ovum
2. Increased maternal age
3. Infections of the genital tract
4. Hormonal factors- Need to get hormonal tests- LH, FSH, estrogen and progesterone
5. Behavioral factors- Anorexia, Bulimia, Alcholic intale, smoking
6. Antiphospalipid syndrome- get test for lupus anticoagulant

See if you suffer from any of the above mentioned problem.
Visit your gynaecologist and get the tests done.

Thanks and take care

hello mrs. suzanyou
Well i can understand your frustration.Well i can tell you , there are some causes of recurrent pregnancy loss which are curable, though not much can be done in pretty many also.I would like to know , at what weeks of pregnancy you had got those abortions, whether those were spontaneous or induced ones and how long have you been trying since your last abortion. Depending on those you need to do some tests. I think you need to do some tests now.If your last pregnancy is more than 1 year you can go for a diagnostic hysterolaparoscopy or a hysterosalpingogram to know any structural anomaly of your uterus and the patency of the tubes, but i would recommend you the former as it is more informative. You can also go for a karyotyping of both partners, an antiphospholipid antibody titre ,and a thyroid and diabetic profile of your body.please perform a blood grouping and a rh typing of yours if you had not done earlier. These are some common correctable causes .Some other investigations may be required dependind the period of your abortions .so please proceed and dont get frustrated.Good luck NEXT TIME
