Trying To Conceive, Had Intercourse. Feeling Dizzy, Tired During Ovulation Period. Feeling Nervous In Stomach. Pregnant?

I'm trying to get pregnant, I am on my ovulation week now. My husband and I have had intercourse 5 times in 7 days. The 24th is my ovulation day. But I have been feeling dizzy, extra tired. And a tugging sensation where I would normally have cramps. I also have a nervousness feeling in the pit of my stomach. Could I be pregnant? Can't take HPT until around the 2-4th of November. Please help!

Hello,
These symptoms are hormonal Its too early to know whether you are pregnant or not. Stop stressing yourself. You need to wait another 2 weeks to take a test. Check your blood sugar and pressure. Dont be nervous.

OBGYN Dr. Madhuri N Bagde's  Response
Hi,

It is impossible to detect pregnancy by any method just after ovulation. This is because the baby is still floating inside the uterus or tubes and is not attached to the mother to cause significant detectable changes in her system.

The earliest method is a blood test that will detect pregnancy earliest at 3-4 days before the next period.

The dizziness and fatigue may be due to post ovulation increase in a hormone called progesterone or simply due to the apprehension of trying to conceive.

So I suggest that you just relax. Since you are trying to conceive wait till the due date of the next period and if you miss it do a urine pregnancy test 7 days after the due date or a blood test if you want to know it earlier.

I would also suggest that you have a blood hemoglobin examination as anemia [low hemoglobin in blood] also causes similar complaints.

Hope I was able to help you.
Thanks for using health care magic. Have a nice day and enjoy.
