Hello and welcome to HCM.
Thank you for your query.
The medications mentioned by you, have clearly not been explained to you by your doctor.
Starting with Zomet, I am assuming the irregular periods
and this particular medication has been prescribed as you must have been diagnosed with polycystic ovaries
. This medication promotes weight loss
(assuming this medication was chosen as you must be over-weight), and also helps in regularizing your periods. Excess weight can worsen polycystic ovarian syndrome
, which is why your doctor is trying to help you in losing weight.
The next drug 'Slenfig' is an anti-obesity drug, which also greatly promotes weight loss. So, I am assuming your doctor is targeting your weight, and assumes this to be the main cause for your irregular periods. As you have not provided your height, weight or BMI, it is not possible for me to comment on this.
But for now, please re-visit your doctor, who will first help regularize your period, and then shift you onto another medication, which will make you more fertile and help in easy conception. As of now, you are on a treatment regimen to help regularize your period, but not exactly on medication which would promote fertility
, which can be mildly affected by the condition I am assuming you to have (i.e. PCOS
I hope I have succeeded in providing the information you were looking for. Please feel free to write back to me for any further clarifications at: http://doctor.healthcaremagic.com/doctors/dr-shoaib-khan/64581 . I would gladly help you.
