Trying To Conceive. Irregular Periods. Mood Swings, Crying Spells. Need Help

We have been trying to conceive. My last two periods have been irregular but i keep having negative pregnancy tests . I am currently one week past my most recent period and i have been tearful over everything, nauseous off and on, irritable, and i noticed spotting after sex yesterday (which is very unnormal). Please help?

Hi,
It is difficult to predict ovulation when you have irregular periods. Your symptoms are non-specific; they can relate to premenstrual changes as well as early pregnancy, but spotting after intercourse is definitely not normal. You can take a HPT or better still, go for a serum beta-hCG test and follow it up with a trans-vaginal sonogram. Please contact your gynecologist for further support. Take care.
