Trying To Come Off Oxycontin And Given Tramadol For Chronic Pain But Not Working. Suggest?

I have been seeing a Physician now for about 7 yrs and in the beginning, he was prescribing pain medications with no problem but now that i ended up in a Psychiatric hospital trying to get off the oxycontin, which i have successfully been off of for a little over a year now, all he will agree to give me for chronic pain issues now is Tramadol, and it is absolutely not working, so do i just go find another Doctor that will sufficiently adrress my pain issues or is there something i could say to him to get him to understand level of pain i still endure on daily basis.

Please Help!

Dear friend,

Thanks for posting your query on this website. I fully appreciate your concerns.

I can help in charting out the correct course of action only when you elaborate the details of the nature of your pain, organs/joints/sites involved; additional problems present which, you feel, may not be related to chronic pain.

I am confident that you will certainly benefit from the advice.

May I assure you that I am always available for your assistance and will try my best to cure your condition to the best of my experience and knowledge.
