Tried Using Tampons, It Hurts. What Could Be The Reason?

I tried using tampons for the first time. I don t understand why it hurts a lot, and i mean a lot, when i sit and stand. It s very uncomfortable when i first put it in, and the feeling lasts until i take it out, which hurts aswell, even though it s surely full. Can you help me?

Hello dear,
tampons are in direct contact with the shedding uterine mucosa. This may be the probable reason why they are very uncomfortable for you. Possibility of infection is also of concern with tampons. If it hurts a lot then you may switch over to pads.
