Hi...dear rajrhce..,
Thanks for choosing HCM..,
Growing beard and mustache is common in Men..,
abnormal in women, due to hormonal influencies..,
If appeared in women called HIRSUTISM...,
it may be due to..,Hormonal abnormalties..,
Problem in Thyroid, Adrenals, Pituitary or ovary...,
Hence do Hormonal Assay....Here ..,

General & Family Physician Dr. Aparna Kohli's  Response
Hi,
Thanks for writing in.
Hair growth is actually determined primarily be genetic factors. Sometimes, it is less in other conditions like a hormonal deficiency, dietary deficiency etc. There is no medication as such for growing a beard. I would suggest that you take a proper diet with plenty of protein and vitamin A. Also, please visit a dermatologist who can rule out a hormonal deficiency and help you with the same.
Hope this helps.
