I have several severe health issues: Type I diabetic 35 years, severe atherosclerosis, constant angina, and now adrenal insufficiency. I am trying to figure out if I need an endocrinologist or an internal medicine Dr. Also, what type of degrees should they have?

Hello
Your health issues are inter related. Atherosclerosis and angina are complications of diabetes. Hope you are diabetes is well controlled to prevent any further complications. Now that you have adrenal insufficiency, you would need a endocrinologist to evaluate and manage the problems arising out of it. Also your endocrinologist would decide on the medications and life style modifications you have to make. Angina needs to be evaluated amf managed appropriately for which you have to consult a cardiologist. Regarding the last part of your query, masters degree in endocrinology and DM in cardiology would be the required qualifications.
Regards.
