Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service.
I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

Such a severe pain traversing from the right to the left side and going to back with the past history of pancreatitis and IBS (irritable bowel syndrome) is indicative of proper clinical evaluation and management.

I would advise you the following in such a situation:
Get a proper clinical evaluation by a gastroenterologist and ask for all the relevant investigations such as:
• CT scan of the abdomen.
• Tests of blood, urine, and stool.
• Upper GI endoscopy and colonoscopy.
If a specific problem is found out, it will be treated accordingly.

If all the investigations are normal, get treated on the lines of IBS. Avoid all the foods and beverages that instigate or enhance the problems. Watch for stress and anxiety and feel free to get a help of psychiatrists, if necessary, to get well soon.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. T Chandrakant
