Torn Cartilage Repair, After Surgery Got Lump Below Knee, Ankle Swollen. What Could Be Wrong?

my husband had a torn cartliage repair. 6 weeks after surgery he got a lump below his knee the size of an egg........he returned to the surgeon had it drained and taped .3 days later his ankle is swollen now and also the knee seems to be filling up again . today is sunday so i plan on calling the Dr. what do you think is wrong he didnt have this before the surgery .

It looks that most probably you may be having one of complication of knee surgery that is baker cyst.You should not worry.This can be treated by draining it & by local injection of steroid.
