hello and welcome to HCM,

I do understand you concern and pain especially since you are having ear block for such a long.

You must understand that when you have such block due to eustachian tube problem, it may take up to three months for recovery as in this case the fluid or block is within the drum of the ear and you need to wait for that to get absorbed. Once this fluid gets absorbed then you will definitely have recovery.

In this time, antibiotics, antihistamines and steam inhalation along with drops to the nose just accelerate the recovery but none of them is hundred percent effective so like i mentioned before you need to wait.

You need to get an audiometric analysis done for future reference and treatment.

If at the end of three months you are not feeling better then a small procedure called the myringotomy with or without grommet insertion may have to be done.

but you will get better do not worry

take care

Hi, I believe you're quite anxious right now.

But I would really prefer if you can get just 2 tests done and then a lot can be told about your condition.

These tests are done at an audilogy center and the tests are -PTA (pure tone audiometry ) and Impedence

If it is Eustachian tube dysfunction then the ear drops dont work, you actually require a nasal drop and some oral dencongestants along with steam inhalation 2-3 times /day. that might help.
thanks
