Hi,

Rabipur injection is not shown to have any side effects on the fetus. Taking into consideration the risks of untreated dog bite, it is wiser to go ahead with the treatment, especially as post exposure prophylaxis. I advice you to have a discussion with your obstetrician for further clarification. Take care.

OBGYN Dr. Sree Gouri SR's  Response
hi,
it is better to take full course of rabipur injections as they are life saving,
and also according to studies no harmful effects are noted with these injections during pregnancy,
reference:http://www.medicines.org.uk/emc/medicine/14933/SPC/rabipur/#PREGNANCY
so as benefits over weigh risks here she can take injections.
take care.
