Toddler With Fever. Giving Calpol, No Relief. Why The Fever Is Not Getting Down? Reason

my child is suffering from fever since yesterday night.. the fever goes upto 103 we are giving him calpol syrup containing paracetamol every 4 hrs.. my son age is 2 years.. now even calpol is not able to bring the fever down.. I consulted a doctor and he said it is just a viral fever, but I am confused why the fever is not getting down..

I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

It seems that it is a viral fever. Wait for 1-2 days more and he will be alright. Give enough water and liquid so there is perspiration and will help temperature going down. If you give calpol syrup but not enough water fever may not go down. If there is no response after giving calpol syrup (fever goes down for few hours and again temperature rises), then consult your doctor and go for investigations.
