Tiny Lump Under Tongue.Taking Gabapentin And Elevil .constantly Getting Dry Mouth.treatment?
Thank you. I noticed for the first time yesterday that a tiny lump under my tounge centered behind my lower teeth. I have neurapathy in my hands and feet and have been taking Gabapentin and Elevil for the pain for several months now. I am constantly getting dry mouth and try to drink water as much as possible. Was on a road trip last week and found my self trying to suck saliva from under my tounge when I would get the dry feeling in my mouth. The dryness gets so bad that if I dont drink some water that it affects my speech.
You are on a medication called elevil that is know to cause dry mouth as a side effect. However I understand your concern, that you may be benefiting from elevil in a different way and therefore continue to take the medication. Your lump under the tongue may be related to not properly hydrating your mouth. It might help to carry a large water bottle and keep sipping away at regular intervals when you feel your mouth is dry. I also think that you should report these symptoms to your doctor who prescribed the medication, to have your medications altered, either switched or reduced or a combination of both. I hope this helps.
Take care and have a lovely day!
