Tingling In Legs, Not Feeling Well. Have Thyroid, Dosage Of Medicine Increased. Suggestions?
I have a thyroid condition, i had regular bloodwork done in April which dr increased my dosage to 150mg, the recheck prove to be a good level, went to the dr this past week legs having tingling and overall not feeling well did a recheck on my thyroid and and my is back up to 9.+ which dosage being increased to 175mg. why such a change?
I am dr Abraham and I understand your thyroid is not working properly. Can I know what tests were done? If I suppose you are having hypothyroidsm your medicine was increased as your TSH level has gone high. The tingling in legs can be due to decreased thyroid hormone or over thyroxine supplementation.
You kneed to have a consultation done with a neurologist for a neuro assesment of your legs. Do you have diabetes, are you on any medications or are you taking alcohol? It is better to check your blood for sugar, Vitamin B12, Folate and complete blood count for anemia and MCV, free T3 and free T4. If you have too much tingling a nerve conduction study would be good.
Thanks
Dr Abraham
