Tightness in throat when running. Reason?

Why does my throat feel tight when I run, I m a very serious runner and am 10 days away from my first day in the army. It s happened twice and both times I had been drinking on the same weekend, (drink Friday, run Sunday) coincidence on ever happened twice in my life was in cross country team at school and always been very fit

Welcome to HCM,
Due to running there is heavy perspiration giving rise to more thirst causing dryness in the throat giving rise to this problem.
Do running relaxing your neck muscles relaxed.
Take plenty of water, lemon water juice.
